Wedding: Etiquette – How to Word Your Evening Wedding Invitation

How to Word Your Evening Wedding Invitation

Evening wedding invitation wording is quite similar to that of the traditional wedding invitation (see examples above), with the key distinction being that rather than inviting guests to the marriage of the bride and groom, one invites them to a reception to celebrate the marriage of the bride and groom. Similar wording can be followed if the wedding as already taken place (for example, abroad).

1. Bride's parents host

Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Harrison
request the pleasure of your company
at an evening reception to celebrate the marriage
of their daughter
Jennifer Anne

Mr. William Fitzgerald
